I am an amateur photographer and I certainly don't consider myself to be a great photographer. Since I have been posting my photos on ViewBug, I have found a lot of inspiration from other photographers here.

Before serving a tour in Vietnam in the US Marine Corps I used to hunt with a rifle. I still liked to hunt but I would only shoot with a camera until 52 years after returning from Vietnam. The local deer population was getting too high so I thought it was time to help thin out the herd to prevent disease and starvation. I spend a lot of time in the outdoors so my favorite subjects are flora and fauna.

I am living in Pennsylvania now but lived in Connecticut for about 44 years and have traveled extensively so my photos are from various places.

My original profile name on ViewBug was JoeJoyPhotography so you will see a lot of photos in my gallery with that watermark on them and some older ones with no watermark.
